GOA
Goa is one of the most popular holiday resort full of scenic
charam and abounding in places of tourist interest. It is small in size with many attractions such as historic forts,churches and temples
green hills and mountains, river creeks ,field and particularly palm-fringed,pearl
white beaches which leave any tourist to this place spellbound. There
are famous churches in Old Goa.
Here the Portuguese ,the Ducth and the English fought with one another for supremacy in the 15th
century. Goa was ruled by the Kadamba dynasty from the 11th century onwards. Goa
came under the Vijayanagar dynasty and in 1469 it passed into the Adil shah,King of Bijapur,who was its absolute ruler when the
Portuguese first reached India.In 1510,it became the possession of the Portuguese in the East.On December 18,1961,Goa became
part of the Indian Union.
